Marelli Motherson Automotive is a joint venture with Motherson Group, India and Magneti Marelli, Italy which is a leading company in designing and production of systems and components for the automotive sector. In 2021, SunSource Energy developed an on-site solar project at their Pune facility to help the organisation reduce its energy bills and support its transition to clean energy.

When Coca-Cola further committed to procuring renewable energy for its operations across its value chain, Brindavan Agro, a leading bottler of Coca-Cola in India, approached SunSource’s team of experts again to discuss how we could help with this transition. SunSource Energy had earlier developed an on-site solar project for Brindavan Agro, to help reduce its energy costs. 

A Government of India Recognized Export House, and one of India’s largest and most reputed producers of 100% cotton yarn and fabrics, located in the Bhilwara hub, wanted to reduce its dependence on its captive coal-based power plant and become more competitive in the market by sourcing cost-efficient solar energy. SunSource Energy supported the client way back in 2016 by building a 1 MW solar power plant and since then, it has further delivered 3 more large-scale on-site solar projects for the client, taking the total capacity to 11.6 MW. 

In 2022, SunSource developed its 1st and one of the largest open-access solar projects in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The project is built across 3 locations in the Bijnor district and provides power to leading industries in the state like Coca-Cola Bottlers, Taj Hotel, and RSPL group (a leading FMCG company in the state that houses brands like Redchief Shoes, Ghadi Detergent, and Namaste India, among various others). The project used over 1,00,000 modules and included the building of 43 km of transmission line in the state.

In 2013, Buddha Public Shcool, a residential school in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, approached SunSource Energy to support them with a solar+storage project to reduce their reliance on Diesel-based power. The school, that saw frequent power cuts used to source a large part of its energy need from expensive and polluting diesel-based power. 

Today, the project supports Buddha public with clean energy for over 300 days in a year.
